Just a quick update for East Gippsland Branch SSAA Members

The official opening of the Buchan Range  was a great success with nearly 200 people in attendance over the day. Many members worked hard and long to get ready for the day and their efforts paid off with a magnificent day. Thanks to all who contributed.

The range was officially opened by Jeff Bourman MP for the Shooters, Fishers and Farmers party

Front page photo in the Bairnsdale Advertiser, plus a full page of photos, a live cross to 3AW by Jeff Bourman and hopefully another article in the SSAA magazine. All good publicity to let members and the public know that the range is open and ready for business.

On our following Sunday shoot on the 27th we had our biggest number of shooters ever. Numbers are up over 3 fold since the improvements were commenced. The last shoot for the year is Wednesday 14th December. The last committee meeting for the year is Tuesday 6th December in the Rivers room at the RSL commencing 7:30PM all members welcome. The first shoot for 2017 is January 22nd See our website www.egbssaa.com.au for details. Also on our website next year we will be announcing competitions, best shot in Gippsland, come and try day, ladies day, junior and muzzle loading programs. Stay tuned.
